While growing up in a family of Western medical doctors I always believed there had to be another way to treat maladies other than with antibiotics and pharmaceuticals. With Acupuncture I found that way. Using your own body, Acupuncture helps to bring you back into balance by treating not only the symptoms of your pathology, but also the root of your imbalance.
I received my Bachelors Degree at University of California Santa Barbara and moved to Los Angeles in 2001. Having lived there for over a decade I know the stressful demands that city life can put on your body and mind. Acupuncture has helped me over the years to maintain a healthy, pain-free and relatively stress-free lifestyle. My goal is to help you do the same!
Attending the Masters Degree Program at Emperor's College of Traditional Oriental Medicine allowed me to see hundreds of patients in the college clinic, as well as patients outside the clinic at The Roy and Patricia Disney Cancer Center in Burbank, and at UCLA's Arthur Ashe Medical Center.
I am an Aroma Acupoint Therapist and a Certified Yoga Instructor, having trained at Yogaworks Center For Yoga. I incorporate these trainings into my practice, using yoga and aromatherapy as adjuncts to Acupuncture as healing modalities.
Three years ago I made Austin, Texas, my home. I am so excited to practice in a city that embraces a holistic lifestyle, and even more thrilled to be able to provide acupuncture at a rate that is comfortable for you. Though it is an effective medicine, acupuncture often requires more than one treatment, and with the sliding scale model I hope to make this a more tangible option for a wider group of people.
